Actor Denies Anti-Vaccine Views After Narrating Contentious Covid Documentary

Liam Neeson has given his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that casts doubt on the efficacy of vaccinations and praises ex- cabinet secretary RFK Jr.

The Film's Provocative Origins

Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a popular book published by a disgraced researcher, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for claims that the illness was a result of a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

Her writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with controversial radio host the Infowars host. He wrote online hailing Neeson's participation in the project.

A Strong Statement

A spokesperson for the actor have provided a response firmly refuting suggestions that he subscribes to anti-vaccine sentiments.

"Everyone can recognize that unethical practices may occur within the medical sector, but that must not be confused with opposition to vaccines," the statement states. "Liam has never been, and remains not, against vaccines. His considerable work with the global charity highlights his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."

The statement continued that the actor had no hand in the film's messaging and that questions about its claims are best addressed to the filmmakers.

Major Assertions Featured in the Documentary

According to the documentary, the narration provided by Neeson features several controversial points:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have called for "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "research has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • RFK Jr is shown stating, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • The film also criticizes pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning pandemic shots, it references a view that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Context and Current Disputes

It includes a past television report about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the topic of a BBC apology by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, Kennedy directed the CDC to alter its longstanding position that there is no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This claim is also referenced in the documentary, even with a new report from the World Health Organisation reiterating no connection has been found.

A Past Record of Support

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has previously shown strong support for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he described vaccines as "an incredible human success story," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This is not the conclusion of our narrative. Rather, it is the beginning of a different phase."
