Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched strikes across the region in response for a large-scale and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Regional Interceptions

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their air space.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That initial attack - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to rise up against the government.

Additional Developments

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military stated it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," the statement continued.

The statement noted debris fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and the death of one civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
