Multiple Affected as Rough Air Strikes A Delta Airlines Aircraft into Sydney

Multiple passengers and crew have been injured when a Delta aircraft traveling from Los Angeles to Sydney experienced significant turbulence Friday morning.

Flight DL41 "encountered brief turbulence" as it touched down at the Sydney airport, an airline spokesperson told. Several cabin crew members were injured.

Emergency medical services reported they evaluated five patients, and took a trio to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries that such as pain in the back and headaches. The injured spanned from their 30s to 70s.

This marks the most recent case of aircraft experiencing turbulence, with researchers saying that shifting climate patterns is a key driver.

On board were nearly 250 travelers and a crew of 15 on the Airbus A350, the official added, clarifying that the plane touched down "safely and normally" at the airport at shortly before 7 a.m. on Friday.

Paramedics indicated they received a call just three minutes before the plane landed, and ambulances were ready and waiting at the airport.
