Outrage as Renowned South African DJ Killed in the Heart of Johannesburg.
A popular South African radio and club DJ has been murdered in the country's largest city Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a nation battling persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the central business district on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities reported the 40-year-old entertainer was approached by three individuals, one of whom began shooting at him before running away.
The reason of the shooting remains unclear and no one has been arrested are in custody, according to authorities.

Law enforcement said that Stock was targeted as he was departing from a premises in the vicinity of the Carlton Centre.
He had been present for hours at the site managing the setup of safety equipment, which had been reportedly taken over by unknown people, according to reports.
"The report indicates the deceased was confronted by three unknown suspects after parking his vehicle, and they opened fire at him before escaping on foot," a police statement said.
Surveillance tape showed a individual with dreadlocked hair and clad in what looked like a protective services outfit firing shots on Stock before fleeing.
The DJ attempted to flee after he was hit but collapsed on the opposite side of the road.
It was further revealed that Stock had an unused firearm and nothing was taken during the assault.
Crucial forensic evidence, like bullet casings, were found at the crime scene.
