It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and once went over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has won it all.

It needed up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It is hard for their hitters to maintain a record if not afforded the possibility.

Finally, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy getting a platform to produce her latest masterpiece.

Then best known as the young family member of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has seen it all through 15 successful years since.

A T20 World Cup win came three months after her first appearance and seven international trophies have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

The gritty keeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India momentarily interrupted the run of success.

That loss "pushed us to reevaluate our levels," Healy said this week.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the title decider and was declared player of the series. She made sure her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement remains open for discussion.

Many contend the reasoning behind final game tension. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was considerably tougher to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in training, it's been a frustrating experience because it seemed my form was missing completely," commented Healy.

"However when you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit kick in and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in taking over from iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single came off the bowler's initial ball and from that point Healy was underway.

"An opportunity to go out there and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was dismissed the team needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the belief to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if necessary, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this championship should hear.

During the last week a feeling they will win from any position has only strengthened - this victory succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.

Such is her determination, she afterwards commented she wished she had played with the discomfort.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have pushed back thoughts of retirement, this championship is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as leader.

Triumph in India would lead her to the peak of her last major obstacle.
