Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traveled to address defense personnel in the Pokrovsk area on the start of the week. Zelenskyy announced that he engaged with soldiers at the military base of the first unit of the state defense force Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya sector, a town approximately 12 miles from the city.

Critical Circumstances in the Region

Recent mapping from a Ukrainian project indicated that Russian forces had advanced deeper into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though a large portion was not fully held by both forces. The conditions are severe, with updates indicating that opposition troops were fortifying positions and enhancing fortifications in some districts.

Opposition armies continue to advance in the Pokrovsk front and are reportedly acting with enhanced confidence within the city proper.

Research institutes observed that Ukrainian forces had freed a large area of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya area, on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk operation.

National Aerial Attacks Inside Russian Territory

National unmanned aircraft targeted a production facility approximately 1,300km inside Russia at the location. Regional authorities announced a detonation at the industrial complex that led to the partial collapse to suffer damage, adding that the origin of the detonation was not known. The national defense command stated there was extensive harm to the complex.
